Webinár:

What Works … with younger learners in the English classroom?

This webinar will focus on 6 – 10 year olds. At this age children can’t see the "usefulness" of learning a different language but are rather motivated by the content of the lesson and the activities they are doing. We will look at the importance of including a variety of these in order to engage children and show some practical examples of:

  • simple repetitive language presented in a relevant, very visually engaging way.
  • practising language in catchy action songs and stories with appealing characters.
  • encouraging thinking skills and building up good “learning to learn” practices which will form the foundation of children's future language learning.

Some of these examples will come from Academy Stars, a major new course series for young learners.
